Old Fashioned Teacake Recipe

1 c Sugar

3/4 c Shortening

4 T Milk

3 t Baking Powder

2 Eggs

2 t Vanilla

3 1/2 c Flour, Sifted

Beat sugar, shortening, eggs together until smooth. Sift together

flour and baking powder and add alternately with milk. Refrigerate for

30 minutes to an hour. Roll out dough and cut with cookie cutter. Put

aluminum foil on cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 7

minutes. Let bottom get slightly brown and then remove.
